GETTING TO DALLAS

If you are planning to travel to Dallas for the celebration, you have two convenient airport options. DFW airport is a 25-minute drive from downtown Dallas and will have plenty of flight options on a wide range of airlines. You may want to choose this airport specifically if you need to consider cheaper airfare options, or if you want an airport that will have more flexible arrival and departure times. For example, you may choose to fly early in the morning on the 26th or want to leave late in the evening on the 26th.  DFW will promise you more flexibility and optionality for your travel.

Alternatively, if you would prefer the convenience of a smaller, closer airport, DAL is located less than 15 minutes from downtown Dallas. This option is convenient for people who find airport security or large airports stressful. Keep in mind, Southwest Airlines is the primary airline support for DAL, so you will be more limited with arrival and departure times.

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

If you are traveling from out of town, renting a vehicle is completely up to you. Often, we find that the costs of rideshare services to and from the airport, coupled with any rideshare trips you may take around town during your stay, can add up fast, and there are plenty of affordable car rental options. Renting a car could also be a benefit if you want the flexibility of being able to arrive and depart from the engagement party when you are ready.

A charter bus will be provided for those who are coming from out of town and choose not to rent a vehicle. As the bus only has 56 seats, we ask that you only indicate that you will need bus transportation if you are traveling from out of town and will not be planning to rent a vehicle. The bus is scheduled to depart from the Hunt building located at 1900 N Akard St, Dallas, Texas. The office will pick up on Akard Street on the right side of the building, departing no later than 1:15 PM. We would suggest you arrive no later than 1 PM to ensure a timely arrival. If you do not arrive on time, the bus cannot wait for you. The bus will depart from the ranch between 6:30-7 PM. If you do not think you will stay from 2-7 PM, we would highly suggest renting a vehicle.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

There are so many wonderful options for you to stay in Dallas during your visit. For a more affordable option, we recommend Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown. A second option for your consideration is the Hyatt Regency Dallas. This hotel is conveniently attached to Reunion Tower, a must-see destination spot if you are visiting Dallas for your first time, which also has a wonderful restaurant where you can dine 400 feet above the Dallas skyline. Want to splurge and make this trip more special for yourself? Then we would recommend the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. This historic mansion has been transformed into a world-class, 5-star hotel offering incredible amenities and services.
